The emptiest branch pays the most.
Eight branches, one per tokenized stock on Robinhood Chain. Every payout is split evenly between the eight, and then, inside each one, by deposited weight. A branch does not get more because it has more people in it — so the fewer accounts a branch has, the bigger the slice for each of them.
The game
Most yield products pay more to whoever puts in more. This one pays more to whoever stands where nobody else is. Picking a branch is the whole decision, and everyone can see what everyone else picked: it is drawn on the map.
A minimum account takes a very different slice depending on where it stands: in the smallest branch it can be a large share of the payout, and in the biggest one a rounding error. That is the same money, split among very different numbers of people. Open any branch on the map and the card tells you its share before you decide.
And the catch, which is the point: if everyone runs to the empty branch, it stops being empty. The best-paying branch changes as people move, and the map shows it moving.
How to start
- 1Hold a tokenized stock
Any of the eight on Robinhood Chain: NVDA, AAPL, TSLA, SPY, GOOGL, MSFT, AMZN, META. If you already hold one, you are ready.
- 2Deposit at a branch
Approve the vault, then deposit. Your shares sit in the vault and the number is written on your passbook. You pay gas, nothing else.
- 3Claim your ETH
Every payout splits evenly between the branches and, inside yours, by deposited weight. You claim whenever you want. Renew every 30 days and your weight counts more, up to ×4.
Your shares are held by the vault while you're in. Withdraw any time, and they come back to your wallet with the ETH you earned.
What you can lose
Your shares are in the vault, so read this section before depositing:
- The owner can pause the city, move any funds and remove any account
- The vault has an owner. They can pause everything (nobody deposits, withdraws or claims until it reopens), move any token or ETH the vault holds, and remove an account, returning its shares and paying what it earned. Every one of those moves is an event on the chain, listed below. If the owner moves your shares out, you cannot withdraw until they are put back. This is the trade for a vault that can be fixed.
- The first day does not pay
- A new passbook earns from the start but cannot claim for itself until a day has passed. If you settle before that, what you earned stays in the branch. It is the window that makes hopping in and out around a payout pointless.
- A branch can go dark
- If a stock token stops answering, nothing can be deposited there and withdrawing may fail until it answers again. The branch keeps its share of the payout while it has passbooks and has been dark for less than 30 days, then it is skipped.
- There is no promised yield
- The ETH comes from $TELLER trading fees. If nobody trades, there is nothing to split. We do not publish an APY because we would be inventing it.
- One dependency we do not control
- The fee stream is handed to the vault through Pons, the launchpad. Its owner keeps an override on where creator fees go, with a delay. If it is ever used, the page says so.
What is real and what is drawing
Every number on the map is read from the contract with a public call. Everything else is illustration, and here is the line between the two.
| Read from the chain | Drawing |
|---|---|
| Which branch you are in, and how much you deposited | The streets, the trees and the parked mailboxes |
| The size of every building (weight deposited there) | Which building shape each ticker gets |
| The people standing still at a door (one per passbook) | The people walking, the birds, the smoke, the clouds |
| The golden chest (ETH banked in an empty branch) | Day and night, and the gardens |
| The fountain level (ETH collected, not yet split) | The water animation |
| Shutters and the red sign (the token is not answering) | The neighbourhood around the eight blocks |
| Who the owner is, whether the city is paused, and every move the owner made | — |
Once the doors open, the owner, the pause state and every move the owner makes are read here from the chain.
